Makeda Antoine-Cambridge, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Trinidad and Tobago to the United Nations and Specialized Agencies in Europe, is one of a group of 193-member states’ ambassadors at the United Nations, each officially appointed to represent their nation in a full-time capacity.
She is 39-years old and has traveled to more than 60 countries in a dedicated and international information and communications technology career spanning almost 20 years. She is a wife, sister, mentor, youth leader, change agent and friend, only to begin the list.
From her humble beginnings in Quarry Village, Siparia in Trinidad & Tobago, she has spent time negotiating high-end settlements, corporate communications packages and lucrative telecom deals with the CEO’s of companies in Africa, the Middle East, the South Pacific, South and Central America, the United Kingdom, Asia and the Caribbean.
H.E Makeda Antoine-Cambridge has lived and worked in Trinidad, Jamaica and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and among countless hotels globally; formed and run three NGO’s and her own consulting company, Genesis International Limited in Trinidad, compounding her international, communication skill set with community service, politics, multi-cultural living, and global and local youth leadership.
